Get ready for the 2nd Annual OKC Mile this Fathers Day Weekend!

AMA Pro Flat Track Racing returns to OKC June 17th!

High speed racing excitement will return to the Monster Mile at Remington Park in OKC on June 17th!  Celebrate Fathers Day Weekend with your family at the 2nd Annual OKC Mile.

Jared Mees won last years event just before the skies opened up and flooded OKC.  After a red flagged main around lap 20, Mees missed a shift on the start of the five lap shoot out and let Bryan Smith, aboard his Howerton Motorsports Kawasaki get the pass.  By the end of the five laps and the checkered flag, Mees had taken back the top spot and stood atop the podium.

Now, with a lot of excitement surrounding the debut, Indian Motorcycles has introduced a purpose built new Indian “Scout” FTR 750 race bike and assembled the “Indian Wrecking Crew” race team including both Mees and Smith, as well as former Factory Harley Davidson rider Brad “The Bullet” Baker.  Going head to head with Indian, Harley has just announced their three rider team to answer the challenge.  The team consists of Kenny “King of Cool” Coolbeth, Jake Johnson, and Brandon Robinson.  The factory team will be onboard the newly released XGR 750 water-cooled race machines.

As always, the competition runs deep in the American Flat Track Series and many other top notch riders will be onboard an array of branded machines looking to gun down the top factory teams!  This year we will see the Singles Class (formerly GNC2) running production based 450cc race bikes.  This opens the door for all the major motorcycle manufacturers involvement into the sport.  Look for racers riding production Honda, Yamaha, Suzuki, Kawasaki, KTM, Husqvarna motorcycles and more!

“We are so excited to bring this premier nationally known series back to the OKC Metro for the 2nd annual event. With all of the series changes, team changes, and surrounding hype, we anticipate the racing being bigger and better than last year” said promoter Shawn Brassfield.  “We had a great event last year and look to make many improvements to help ensure this years event is over the top!”  “Don’t miss out on this Fathers Day Weekend celebration that will include lots of things for Dad to see and do”.

The 2nd Annual OKC Mile will have an array of all day activities for all ages, including fun stuff for kids like bounce houses, face painting and more.  Dads will love checking out all the cool bikes at the Vintage Motorcycle show inside the air-conditioned Remington Park facility.  There will be a live DJ on hand all afternoon, and don’t forget the racers Paddock opens at 5:00pm for all to peruse and get autographs and pictures of your favorite racers!

Tickets are on sale now. Don’t delay, get yours today!
