Have you made Father’s Day weekend plans with your Pops yet?
The AMA Pro Grand National Championship OKC Mile flat track race at Remington Park is on June 18! If your dad has a passion for motorcycles, flat track racing, and/or outdoor events, this event is a great way to spend some time with him.
Sanctioning by AMA Pro Racing, the series is highly regarded as the most competitive form of dirt track racing in the world. The OKC Mile event is expected to make record-breaking history by attracting nearly 10,000 spectators from Oklahoma, Texas, Arkansas, and beyond.
What to Expect at the OKC Mile Event
This year’s schedule consists of approximately 14 rounds of racing along a gorgeous dirt oval track at Remington Park. Riders will rev up their engines and compete on the one-mile dirt track.
If you and Dad are joining us, please keep in mind that there will be a limited amount of seating available outside for approximately 3000-4000 attendees with general admission tickets. However, there is an enormous grassy area for spectators to watch the event from near the North end of the facility and also along the inside of the infield near the race track. We urge general admission ticket purchasers to bring folding lawn chairs and enjoy the event comfortably.
If it’s too early for you to make Father’s Day weekend plans, you may buy tickets at the gate on the day of the event. But, we do highly recommend buying in advance to avoid a long wait at the box office and to guarantee availability.
Day of event tickets will be available onsite at the ticketing box offices near both the Casino and Racing main entrances.
Spend Father’s Day Weekend at OKC Mile
The OKC Mile event is a great way to spend time with Dad and bond over flat track racing. We believe this is an activity you and your Old Man will enjoy and remember for a long time.
Some of this year’s OKC Mile’s racers will be traveling from the X-Games in Austin to race again in Oklahoma City at Remington Park on Saturday, June 18.
