The 2nd Annual American Flat Track series returns to Oklahoma City on June 17 at Remington Park

Oklahoma City (April 28, 2017) — Brass Monkey Promotions is thrilled to announce Indian Motorcycle, a racing legend is the presenting sponsor of the 2017 OKC Mile.

The 18-round season of American Flat Track makes a stop in Oklahoma City for round 9. The OKC Mile will be held on the one-mile dirt track at the state-of-the-art facility at Remington Park on June 17. This is the second time AMA Pro Racing visits Oklahoma after being absent from the state for over 15 years.

“We’re proud to be presenting sponsor of OKC Mile,” said Reid Wilson, marketing director for Indian Motorcycle. “As the halfway point of the season, OKC Mile is a pivotal race in which we’ll be evaluating our first half performance and determining necessary adjustments to push for a strong second half.”

Indian Racing has sought to revolutionize Flat Track Racing this season with their new Indian Scout FTR750. Pushing technology – and rider limits – the new design combines the best of the best.

“We are very excited to welcome Indian Motorcycle on board as the presenting sponsor of the 2nd Annual OKC Mile,” said Shawn Brassfield, owner of Brass Monkey Promotions. “We look forward to a long relationship with Indian Motorcycle and are proud of their commitment to our events.”

In addition to this, Indian Racing launched a new team this season, the three-rider Indian Wrecking Crew. 2016 Grand National Champion ‘Flyin’ Bryan Smith, AMA Pro Flat Track Expert Grand National Champion Brad ‘The Bullet’ Baker and 2016 X Games gold medalist Jared ‘Jammer’ Mees compose the crew.

“Indian’s total commitment to American Flat Track via reintroducing their three-man factory team exhibits their desire to not only win races but build the best motorcycle in the industry,” Brassfield added.

Remington Park is in the Adventure District in Oklahoma City. A recently renovated facility is the perfect space revive motorcycle racing in the state. Fans will watch riders compete on a dirt, one-mile track.
